We formed Acta Distributors due to the extraordinary experience we have been increasingly having with innovative, new products in the firearms industry.

There's an explosion (forgive the pun) of new, high-tech products being offered in this space.

Our belief is ....

If a product impresses us and the experienced operators we serve than the sheer Act/Deed ("Acta") of trying new products should be the determinant of whether or not it's worth our time and therefore worth it for Retailers to carry. No words ("Non Verba") will convince us .... for us, we need to use a product ... that's the Action ... the Acta!

The Story

This journey began with a commitment to excellence and a challenge unmet by the market. A former Navy SEAL, found that nothing available could match his exacting standards for firearm care. Frustrated yet determined, he set out to create his own high-tech solutions—products that would stand up to rigorous use and deliver unparalleled performance.

Drawing on his extensive experience and inspired by the innovative properties of Liquid Natural Gas, he developed (originally for himself) an advanced formula that redefines what a firearm lubricant and cleaner can be. Due to it's superior performance he was eventually persuaded by friends and a CEO of a lubricant company to start producing Direct Action Lubricant for sale. It was tested by the US Army and passed the 30 minute continuous trial on the M249 SAW.

This breakthrough formula leverages the unique benefits of LNG-derived technology to offer superior lubrication, even under extreme heat & high friction conditions, and a cleaning action that leaves no trace of fouling behind.

Friends and colleagues, who witnessed firsthand the game-changing performance of these products, urged him to share his innovation with the wider firearms community. Thus, Direct Action Lubricants (DAL) was born—a brand built on the belief that actions speak louder than words, embodied in our motto here at Acta Distributors — “Acta Non Verba” (Deeds, Not Words).

Starting in Connecticut and expanding through central Texas gun stores, DAL’s products quickly became a favorite among shooting enthusiasts, firearm retailers, gunsmiths, range owners, and firearm manufacturers. Today, Acta Distributors is rapidly expanding DAL’s reach nationwide.
